yep, you said exactly what I was thinking. Probably too many potholes and lose pavement in NJ to host an F1 race.......just like the rest of the USA unfortunately.:eek6:
Can't wait to hear Daffy, Hobbo and Matchless trying to pronounce the names of those streets.....:biggrin5:
Sounds like Kimi is out and Bottas is in at Ferrari next year... Wonder how many times Kimi will start and park before the end of the season?
I don't really remember the Mexico GP circuit so I had to search a bit to understand what they're talking about here. The course will go through a baseball stadium? That was hard for me to visualize. Tilke: Peralatada corner had to go for safety reasons (grandprix247.com) From Wikipedia: Here's the stadium inside the corner. A mockup of the course through the stadium. And the full course.
Jules Bianchi died today, aged 25. RIP. I think he's the first F1 driver to die of injures since Senna.
MarÃa de Villota, also injured in a Marussia, also hit a truck on the course. She died a year after her accident from a cardiac arrest that was determined to have been the result of her injuries related to that accident. The fact that she had been active most of that year kind of makes it seem somewhat unrelated, but severe injuries can cause all sorts of delayed issues. So yeah, Jules was the first F1 racing driver since Senna, but not exactly the first F1 driver. Such a tragedy for Jules though. I keep reading that he had a great deal of potential and that he was a genuinely nice person.
