They still do that. But I know what your trying to say...back to this "only". Not sure if I agree with it. To me F1 is all about tech and pushing the envelope. I like all the sensors, etc.
1 lap +30 Seconds to the next car! That kind of gap is unsustainable! Such dominance in Formula one is unheard of! I can't believe they have such an advantage over other cars. F1 is over! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1965_French_Grand_Prix That race from the photo (the 1965 French Grand Prix) had 10 retirements (9 mechanical and one accident), and the gap from P1 to P5 was over one lap. P1 to P2 was 26.3 seconds. And people complain about today's races.
Time for pedantry? The pit board is saying: - you have one lap to go to the end of the race (L1) - you are 30 seconds ahead of the guy behind you (+30) And as Jim Clark, driving a Lotus, won by 26 seconds from Jackie Stewart in a BRM, and as the mechanic is wearing Lotus overalls, I reckon that all fits. Yeah, looks like Chapman - waiting to see which bits fell off on the cool-down lap, I bet.
Yeah, I knew I was mis-reading the lap board, but the rest of it stands. People always make the same general complaints about F1 every year, same as it ever was.
I would love to see the simpler telemetry at the bottom of the screen when ever they are covering a car.
Looks like Red Bull will be in F1 next year with a Renault engine badged as an Infinity. Toro Rosso looks like it will use the 2015 Ferrari engine.
I wonder how loudly Horner will cry that he didn't get a Merc works engine and a free [insert obscene image here] from [insert appropriate nausea inducing F1 mogul here]. Still, at least they're still in the game.
Spoiler alert . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Yep very good win for Nico. I loved Brundle asking him why he didn't start winning earlier. Lewis is still the F1 World Champion 3 times now.
These were cracking me up over the weekend... https://www.carthrottle.com/post/the-best-pics-from-placesalonsowouldratherbe/ Congrats to Nico, you are the second best driver in F1 and on your team again this year
