    That is a very good quote and I am happy for him.

    This also puts a new perspective on his odd radio message about wanting Lewis to let him pass, but promising that he would give the position back at the end of the race.

    Merc say they won't start thinking about a replacement until Monday. I say that's BS, they might not be making many calls yet but there's no way the heads aren't at least thinking about it. Meh, maybe it's just semantics.

    I read he is one of the drivers who have contacted Merc since Rosberg's announcement. :biggrin5:

    Ironically, Merc is one of the few teams he could conceivably drive for since his backers in Venezuela no longer have money to throw around so he can't pay for his seat. Do NOT get the impression from this that I think he has any chance, at all, I'm just commenting on the irony.

    Speaking of irony, if that's the right word, there are Rosberg haters who are angry at him for retiring. :crazy:

    Means Hamilton won't get the chance to beat Rosberg next year. Apparently it's not enough that Hamilton has every chance to win the DC next year anyway, they want him to be able to prove this year was an aberration by "taking it back".

    When I saw Alonso crash in Australia I figured he would be racing with Jules in heaven. Seeing it again all I can say is wow what a lucky guy he is.
