I wouldn't be surprised if he hasn't been told to keep his mouth shut. The only good I can see coming from this is that it will be less confusing talking about the Red Bull drivers by first name. Other than that I still think it's a pretty lousy thing to do to the guy. Insert rant about injustice here. :incazzato:
Tomorrow's start could be very interesting with Mad Max on the second row. Would love to see a Merc, Ferrari, Red Bull podium (Hammy, Kimi, and Max). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
That was my reaction as well, at first. Then it quickly changed to "it was bound to happen eventually, seems like once a season".
Absolutely! Even tho the finish was somewhat written after turn 4, lap 1, the actual winner was a real surprise! Nice to hear some new anthems played at the podium ceremony too......
Babs & I were laughing about the fact the guy in charge of the music had to search frantically for the Dutch national anthem. Very nice to see someone new on the top step. Max didn't put a foot wrong today, that boy has major talent for sure.
The first lap was great. Now everyone else could have a race. Verstappen will be champ by 2019 it not sooner. He has what Shumi and Vettel at the beginning.
Max has loads of talent that's for sure. For him to become world champion he first has to land in a team that can give him the tools to do that. I'm not sure Red Bull can provide that.
They absolutely can do that, and I think that's exactly what they're gearing up for..... We'll see what happens when they get their rumored big HP bump in Canada.
What have they been doing the previous events? I loved this race for multiple reasons: 1. Maybe Nico's win streak has finally helped him grow a pair, which is why he was even in the position he was when this incident occurred. In previous seasons he would have probably carped himself when he saw Lewis in the mirror and made some stupid mistake that would have let Lewis by him easily. 2. Enjoyed seeing the #2 drivers fight it out in front of the #1 drivers 3. Got to see a different side of Mad Max. I enjoy watching his aggressive nature in most races, but it was good to see that he could also keep his calm and run controlled when need be. I definitely agree that he is a future WC.
I missed the race. It was not broadcasted in my area. Pre-empted by IIHF hockey. :mad2: Nice to see a new race winner.
Like pretty much everyone else in F1 besides the Germans, I'm happy to see SOMEONE taking it to MBZ! I thought Williams might have a go at them when they got MBZ power, but they've slowly faded, and even tho Red Bull won it four years in a row and it would be nice to see someone else on the top step, it's good that the competition has come on ..... Don't discount Danny Ricky Bobby tho, he has the fire in his belly too - and he could have won this race as easily as Max did. Like I said, I'm eager to see if the coming bump in HP finally levels the field with the Benzer boys.....Red Bull have always had an excellent chassis, if they can get an engine to match , mix in the boys in red jammies and it could be fun at the front again.
