Yes it is a pretty safe bet. :fingerscrossed: Just wait the tables will turn nothing is permanent. As far as skill in the rain. When it rains driver talent counts for more that the fastest car. Not sure why Nico lacks that skill set. He's good, just not as good.
Listening to Brundle and Croft on that highlight reel, but I don't feel like we've got it at all bad with Leigh, David, and Steve here in the US.
Spa was wonderful this year - Varsha sat in for Daffey, and it was so calm and wonderful - no screeching, no motormouth, no incessant platitudes. I hope Daffy Diffey gets laryngitis for the rest of the season!
I stream the Sky Sports broadcast. I sorta like those two. And I really like there are no commercials.
Looking at the points totals, who would have expected Ferrari to finish third (or worse!) at the end of this season? I know it's not over yet, but the Reds Bull have a pretty substantial lead...... Red Bull's resurgence has been a real treat this year, just think what they could do with Mercedes power? I guess that's a bad idea tho, we don't need another 4 years of one make dominance.....
Some percentage of credit has to go to the Renault power unit. I was surprised to read Ricciardo complementing Renault, saying they were on par with the Ferrari unit now. I thought Red Bull were contractually not allowed to call their engines Renault, part of the deal that allowed them to get Renault engines back after their bad mouthing and replacement engine hunt fiasco last year was they had to re-brand and stop talking about Renault. I guess even the lawyers back off as long as you're being complimentary.
No question Renault has really stepped up their engine game.....but the difference in performance between the Renault chassis an the Red Bull shows where they really need to work. And today Red Bull was accused of having an illegal rear diffuser......:frown2:
From what I understand the Renualt chassis was designed to hold a Merc engine & not a Renualt lump. Considering that it is no wonder the chassis is letting them down. Hopefully next year will be better for them.
Ciao Felipe Massa to retire at end of season. http://www.foxsports.com.au/motorsport/felipe-massa-retires-will-leave-formula-1-at-end-of-2016-season/news-story/c356dff81a4063763e139f802c2f2ed1?nk=bd5070d5da731ad8ec0719304c3248d2-1472744434
I thought Haas were done developing the 2016 car other than plans for a few tweaks to the front wing. I'd call this more than just a tweak.
I'm going to guess they don't like the backwards movement they've made last couple of races. Adding a few more points to their total will help them a bunch.
But just about everyone does some kind of radical wing for Monza. Might be just their planned set up.
Though it doesn't say, I assume the replay they're talking about is of Raikkonen trying to pass him later on rather than the mess at Turn 1. Verstappen handed a gentle warning by FIA race director (grandprix.com)
First Massa, now Button. He won't be racing for McLaren in 2017. Still under contract to help develop, etc, through 2018 and available to drive in case they need him, though I've not yet seen the words "reserve driver" anywhere. I imagine that means Vandoorne will be Alonso's team mate next year.
