Between Hamilton and Rosberg I root for Hamilton but I don't really know why other than I saw Hamilton on Top Gear once. Not very solid reasoning but it's all I gots.

I think Rosberg should take Hammy out in the first corner - hard. The important championship (to the team) has already been won, the big money is already in the bank so he should do what he needs to do to win the belt for himself. I doubt he will but, that's what he should do.....
I thought of that too. That is a real ballsy move that Prost pulled on Senna to take the championship. Nico won't do it, he lacks the balls. I hope someone from the second row becomes the designated hitter & punts Nico off. That won't happen either, I'm hoping for a good race. :fingerscrossed:
The teams and Bernie have agreed to have standing restarts after every safety car period as of next year. Makes me wonder why use the safety car at all then, just red flag the race. I'm not actually suggesting this, just can't see how there's a significant difference other than driving around slowly for a few laps before stopping for the restart anyway.
Will they make for better racing and a more competitive season? Or multiply the advantage of the stronger teams?
How many standing starts can an F1 car do? It's my understanding the clutches are about the diameter of a hockey puck.
Yup, and clutches shouldn't be the only concern. Don't they already worry about the heat soak effect on all the power unit components while forming up after the formation lap, esp. for the leaders as they wait for the back markers to get into position? Add to that all the marbles off line later in a race plus cooler tires after SC period and you have increased potential for first corner carnage. I'm sure there are plenty of other concerns but the article I read claimed the change was largely because race starts are the most watched part of F1 races so this will improve the show. Really? That's the motive? Here's hoping the author was taking liberties with the facts there.
Red Bull have signed another contract and will continue to claim their Renault engines are made by TAG Heuer for another couple years.
I can actually say that I was nervous for him when he was going Wheel to wheel with Max. Congrats to Nico! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
On the one hand I thought Hamilton drove like a jerk, but on the other hand he was doing what he could to both win the race and maybe the championship - but backing Nico into the other cars was poor sportsmanship in a lot of ways. I can see both sides of the deal tho..... The announcers were going on about how fast Vettel one, but that wasn't what was happening, the Mercs were slow because of the Hamster's tactics. Had they been running a real race they would have been 30 sec further up the road by the end...... Hope next year things change but I have a feeling it will be another Mercedes Victory tour.
