I think I'm one of the few people who actually like the huge speedo. It's goofy. I dig goofy.![]()

The car is stunning. Mazda did to the Miata what Chevy did to the Corvette, it's that good.
The video does more justice to the lines of the car than the still photos. I can't wait to see this in person, and if there is an easy, reliable way to get these to 275-300 WHP, a big if, and if it drives as well as it looks, it may be too tempting to pass on.
It does have a little F-type going on, a little 370Z going on up front, and a nod to the old Z3 with the slightly raised rump in the rear, with some nice Alfa curves thrown in. The headlights give it a more muscular look compared to the older models. It all works.-

Mazda does a solid...
One of the very first of the 1000 Launch Edition was totaled by an F150 about a mile after the new owner drove it off the lot.
Mazda is stepping up and sending them a replacement, brand-new Miata. It’s worth noting that Mazda was really in no way obligated to do this — the whole mess was clearly the owner’s and insurance companies’ problem at this point — but that they did it anyway speaks volumes, and I suspect the good PR they get will easily be worth the value of the car.

Window tint on a white car, pretty much a must do!
Sure you can option the 3 up into the 30's, but even then it LOOKS like a 35-40k hot hatch--it looks very modern without looking like they tried too hard; it's a delicate balance, and they've been doing it model after model lately.
Mazda is moving forward in relative large steps with regards to styling lately, without doing something stupid that ruins it; seems most (not all, but most) other carmakers are taking baby steps. I always love it when a relatively small company shows the big guys how it's done!
But the other car companies will take a short cut and start hiring Mazda designers, it's how it always works...-
