So the Fiat turbo 1.4 Multiair is made in Termoli, east of Rome. Sent to Japan where it's inserted into a modified bodied MX5 and with final assembly in Hiroshima Japan.
Next to the turbo heat shield on the underside of the hood is this....
Which leads me to ask the age old question.....
That thing got a HEMI init?

One thing I am curious about the Alfa Romeo 4C, is why does it weigh more than the Miata/Fiata? It uses hefty amounts of carbon fiber, which I assume is stronger and lighter than a car of mostly aluminum and steel construction. Maybe it's because of the power train and roof?

Hope your wish comes true. Wonder how long it will take Mazda to add this engine to the MX5?
-
I wouldn't be surprised to eventually find a 1.5T version in an MX5...

Saw that yesterday and like it more than the Fiat version, but still don't care for much of it.
-
Me like it, the Fiata not so much.

MX5 > Fiat.

Fingers crossed!
