I like the giant speedo because I can see it without my contacts in. Externally, I'm driving by braille. But at least I know how fast I'm going as I bounce off objects like an R/C car driven by Stevie Wonder.

Thing is I really don't drive my car on the street that much anymore, just the track. If I had a street car only, I wouldn't do it, but at the track, it would be kind of funny...And I'd be tempted to turn the rear wiper on after a pass.

I like that car a lot. Not a fan of the color or livery that was used, but it will change once folks start racing them. I'm very glad the series will continue. Way to go Mazda!

2,332 pounds. That's all you need to say. If I were in the market for a roadster, that number would seal the sale. I'd live through the Phunny Phace on the thing, and fix the squishy ride.

Dave, you're right on the reliability. The launch edition is already having issues with the tranny overheating, and engine light randomly going off, at least in the U.S., and the official fix, like I posted elsewhere, so far is to "stop and let it cool down for ten minutes". They better have something in the works; that's obviously not the answer long-term.

But as much as it pains me to say this (and I don't plan on making a habit of it), Dick is absolutely right about it being most comparable to the Elise/Exige. Same principles--low weight, good aero, high revving engine. The 4C even has a faint resemblance to the Elise, but it's better looking, and has a much higher quality interior. And the seats are a bazillion times better.

If you shrunk a Ferrari and crossed it with an Elise, the 4C is what you'd get. The car is absolutely stunning in the flesh; I wish I could have talked the salesman into driving the Launch edition they had at the dealer. The Elise turned my head the first time I saw one on the lot. The 4C didn't just turn my head; it had it spinning.

The Elise reliability when it came out was less than stellar. They eventually got it respectable. I'm hoping the same will be true of the 4C.

I really, really thought about getting a Spider, but an 18 month at the least wait, and probably more like 2 years, the tranny issues, and what people are describing as a disconnect between the engine and the tranny on the track, I opted to go mental with the MINI instead.

Actually the new Miata got smaller.

It is amazing how much the 911 has grown, truthfully the Cayman is more true to the 911 size than the 911.

I had 2 '91 CRX Si's, and loved them... Both would return 40MPG with me railing on them constantly! The first Honda was what got me into actually DRIVING a car, the total lack of nannies and gadgets is what made it fun... If I screwed up, it meant i was about to try and figure out how to get it out of the ditch again! Thats a feeling I haven't had in, well a little over a month... [emoji13]

Just got back from driving my Miata.

Pretty sure I'm keeping my original. :D

I like it, but why did they make it more bigger? Once again we see a car can be made good looking & still pass the pedestrian regs.

I like it a lot and the grill looks better then the old stupid smile they put on every last gen Mazda.

I like that is lower wider and the lights front and rear look good to me. Just strip of the stupid sky activ badge and MX-5 badges on the rear.
