MINI, Miata, VW Beetle, Porshe 911, BMW, Audi, Mustang....they've all gotten larger with design changes that the old school enthusiasts don't like. To me, I'll drive what I want/like and accept the new designs as just change.

^^^ I believe the government recently played around with how the MPG numbers are being generated.....:skep:
There are the unicorn numbers, there are the real numbers and there the real driver numbers....

The CRZ could be a sweet car if it weren't for being a hybrid.

My '86 CRX is probably the one car I most regret selling. When the CRZ first came out it was one of the biggest disappointments I ever encountered.

Hopefully Fiat has a better handle on the body rust than the old 124 Spider.... However, the original had a sweet engine... Not too sure how good the MultiAir engine is... Time will tell... My gut tells me the Skyactive would be the smart choice going with the MX5... Don't think FIAT has a stellar reputation with the FIAT 500 today... The Fix It Again Tony is what caused them to abandon the the US market originally...

Yea, I simply need to drive it more to find out where the limits are. The weather is fluctuating here (in MD), so I don't drive it everyday. Perhaps when it warms, I'll sign up for a performance driving class or maybe auto-x.

I think the headlamps could be a little bigger... That has always been kind of a MX-5 trademark.
And yeah no posts from MiataMark yet, he is probably changing his drawers!

Was thinking the same thing. That would be a strong base for a track car if Mazda does it right. I'm hoping the platform will be robust enough to get to 300HP relatively easily, unlike the earlier generations. It's never been an issue with the chassis, hopefully the engine and tranny will allow room to grow.

I'm right there with ya Dave! That is a mighty fine looking Miata for sure. I could cruise around in that a little on a nice day with the top down. Oh how I miss driving topless!!!
Ill take one in a nice electric blue.-
