Like when Honda first came with that hybrid CRZ and claimed 50mpg and now on the window sticker it says 36mpg.

There is two sets of mpg figures for the new MX5 because over seas there is two motor choices, many of the first drive test were preformed overseas and with the smaller engine.

The CRZ could be a sweet car if it weren't for being a hybrid.

    Agreed.

CRZ with a K-series swap would be mad fun.

I had 2 '91 CRX Si's, and loved them... Both would return 40MPG with me railing on them constantly! The first Honda was what got me into actually DRIVING a car, the total lack of nannies and gadgets is what made it fun... If I screwed up, it meant i was about to try and figure out how to get it out of the ditch again! Thats a feeling I haven't had in, well a little over a month...

My '86 CRX is probably the one car I most regret selling. When the CRZ first came out it was one of the biggest disappointments I ever encountered.

Isobell has no nannys, well except for a 7200RPM rev limiter...

    Hey Mark (Chkmini)....
When you retire for the evening....Do you know where "Dark Helmut" is?

Seems like he's been sowing his oats over on the JPN side of town...:D

Fiat or Alfa looks to be making a higher hp version on their side of the shared Miata platform, probably popping the same engine that's in the Alfa 4c. Interesting....

    Mazda does a solid...

One of the very first of the 1000 Launch Edition was totaled by an F150 about a mile after the new owner drove it off the lot.

Mazda is stepping up and sending them a replacement, brand-new Miata. It’s worth noting that Mazda was really in no way obligated to do this — the whole mess was clearly the owner’s and insurance companies’ problem at this point — but that they did it anyway speaks volumes, and I suspect the good PR they get will easily be worth the value of the car.

Price supposedly includes everything but the seat. A turn-key race car; you plunk down your $53K (introductory price), bolt in your preferred seat and go racing.
