Heard on the practice broadcast today. Death threats against Ocon.

Ocon? What did he do?
-
Crashton Club Coordinator
He has been banging wheels a bit with Perez. At least until the team gave them both strict orders not to.

Hmmm, and today he out qualified him...

Not that you would, but don't expect a lot from Gasley today.

More importantly, Vettel & Verstappen starting at the front again...wonder whether anyone learned anything from the last time they tried that.

Spoiler warning!
If I heard correctly today, Verstappen now has a total of 3 wins, right?
Spain 2016 - Kvyat demoted - VER wins.
Malaysia 2017 - Kvyat demoted - VER wins.
Mexico 2017 - Kvyat dropped - VER wins.
(lifted that from someone else...hope it's right) -
Lucky star maybe?

Is the end for Massa?

There seem to be several drivers who could take his seat. If not for Nico he wouldn't have raced this year.

Some of those drivers can bring money with them. Might be why Kvyat is now on their list...

Here's an decent article on the unfortunate side of the FIA's proposed 2021+ engine formula.
[ FYI, this is just a snip, if you click through for the rest you'll find what looks like a plea for financial support. It is, he's trying to get his site going again. You can skip the 'welcome' section to get to the article. ]

Here's an excellent article on a development from the past (McLaren, 1997) and how it both worked and confounded the opposition and, eventually, was banned for all the wrong reasons.

Here's something trivial to ponder.
Since Force India have already secured 4th in the Constructors' Championship they're now talking about running their "riskier" development parts for the last races to get a head start on 2018.
Someone did a bit of math and figured out that "With 4th place in the WCC secured & nothing more to gain, every point Force India gets will add $5161 to their F1 entry fee for 2018."
I'm going to bet the former explanation is more important but the guy has a point. On the other hand, isn't the chance of attracting a new sponsor by finishing strong worth more than $5161 per point?
