When people say I like it but it's too small, well guess what it's not suppose to be for everybody! That's what made it MINI in the first place. Now their just trying to get everyone to buy one....change the name to Honda then!

That's the other thing MINI has priced themselves out of the original MINI market.

You can buy much better built cars now for the same money as an over priced MINI.

    Well, I respectfully disagree.......to a degree :biggrin5:

I'm looking forward to the Clubman because I really like the new interior and the longer lower wider works on that car. Plus, I'm looking for a slightly smaller replacement for our Audi Allroad. A MINI Clubman allroad would be just about perfect......

And I don't care if they make the Countryman bigger cause that's not a model I'm interested in owning - doesn't affect me in the least except that my favorite MINI dealer has products to sell that the public want to buy and therefore they'll still be in business when they DO make a new car I'd like to own.

Of course, that assumes I'll still be able to afford one....

Once they standardize all the platforms to the larger size it won't make sense to produce a small platform on the production line.... Rocketman will never happen...

Unless they take.... as an example, the new factory in the Netherlands, and dedicate it to the smaller platform (ie Rocketman)....

But that will only work until global warming kicks in and the water level jumps up....:incazzato:

Just call in a BMW X1 already and remove the MINI name.

Some people might think you were being a little cynical, but I sense you're hinting at a whole new market here - the AmphiMINI!

The existing R60 is perfect if MINI wants to keep an SUV in the lineup. Its just got enough space, yet is still small.

Looks like all the older concept renderings are out the window, and here comes a Suburban... Thanks MINI, for killing your only hope of keeping me as a MINI customer.

Give it another name, quit calling it 'MINI'. Maybe something along the line of 'Peterbilt'.

I love it! Well, not really - but I understand that as a company MINI can't survive in the very competitive automotive marketplace only by making mini MINIs. Dealers every day are faced with customers who come in and say, "I really like the MINI, but it's just too small." People love the brand but can't live with the size or lack of practicality. (Of course, higher-than-average prices are a factor too.)

Look at what's happened with the four-door. After just a couple of months, it's the second-best-selling MINI (right after the Countryman!). I think the new Clubman will be a hit too.

I want the brand to survive, and I hope the increased sales of the newest MINIs put enough money in the pockets of BMW to encourage it to develop a Rocketman-sized/styled MINI for all the traditionalists out there. I'd certainly be interested in one - especially a JCW version - because there's nothing else in the MINI lineup now that interests me at all. When it's time to replace my 2nd Generation JCW, it won't be with another MINI because in its efforts to attract more mass-market buyers, MINI has forgotten about me.

When people say that it drives me up a wall! And I would like to drive over them. If you like it but it's too small then you don't like it.

MINI doesn't care, because it's got 10 new buyers who want a larger MINI to replace you.

This is the sad truth ^^^^^ oh and any SUV does not belong in the MINI lineup just like the new MINI Stationwagon. (Clubman)
