    I was talking to a buddy of mine who is a racer... and is looking for a new car to race. As we were talking, I was poking around the MINI site and found that they are paying out. Attached is the full document and below is the payout schedule. Frankly, its pretty good. Its better than Mazda...

    You'll spend 10x of that contingency just getting into a competitive spot to maybe win some.

    Hell, winning in IMSA would pay for two sets of tires per race if you won every race.

    Looking at a series that is more attainable like SCCA Solo Nats or Pro Solo Tour you are SOL again because the MINI isn't competitive in it's classes.

    The fastest way from a big fortune to a small fortune is to go racing. :)

    Regarding the classes, I haven’t researched but I would imagine that is true as I don’t hear about them. I haven’t been to an actual SCCA race in quite some time. But For those that are, at least you can get some back. In Europe, they have a good spec racing class from what I hear.

    Go get your money.. I also know some folks in Mini PR... not sure if they could put anything in, but could ask.
