I am moving to Michelin Pilot sport A/S tires after having some Yokahama Avids that literally came apart on me. I had the 205/50/R16 Yokahoma's but keep seeing in people's signatures they have the 205/55/R16 Pilots.

Just wondering which I should go for? I like the wider look of the 205's but want to make sure I am not missing something here with the sidewall height.

    Thanks,
    Kevin

The difference is very slight at 5%.

    205/55 is 112.75 mm

    205/50 is 102.5 mm

Basically its 10 mm, making the taller tire a whopping 5mm taller.

The larger one would off a slightly softer ride but even the most experienced would be hard pressed to feel the difference.

Thanks Nathan! I kind of thought that but feel better letting someone like you let me know for sure.

Looking forward to putting these tires on the Dragon. See you in a few months!
