Stock GP is what, 190 WHP? You added a cam, header and tune and now you are at 230 WHP. That equals a gain of 41 WHP correct?
Whoppie, I personally have three, count them, three personal track records, one at VIR, one at Road Atlanta and one at the CMS roval!!! Can't make this stuff up.....LMAO!
I thought we established that my GP was no where near what a normal GP was like power wise? My guess is it was 200ish. My first R53 was 204 and it felt very similar.
I'll give him a call! Thanks so much! How is the reliability of the stock head with those larger HP numbers?
Thank you! As soon as RMW or Mynes is mentioned you know some butt-hole is going to chime in with his two cents.... Something for which I do not look forward to at all... Just sayin......
Yup - Same here though I have the stock head (Cooper S head) and I made 230whp tuned by Jan on the same Mustang as Dave on the same day as Dave (immediately after). It's all in the tuning!
My numbers are similar on my 2006 JCW. 223 whp and 200 wtq with stock JCW head and injectors and just a street cam, header and dyno tune. As to the reliability, 4 years on the cam and header and 3 years with the tune. NO issues! Good stuff!!
Considering my car has 144,000 and out of that total about 50,000 has been with the tune, pulley etc... I'd say the stock head deals with those numbers just fine.
