Yeah but once you put a Honda motor in a Mini it's soul is gone.

A Red one? Kreature? This one?

My buddy has a D series in his P'up and it puts a smile on his face every time he drives it. It's not only fast, but dead reliable - it starts every time and he's put 20K almost completely trouble free (it's a Mini after all) miles on it. He got all sorts of funny comments on the walkie talkies among the corner workers the first time he passed a 911 down the straight at Heartland Park! :biggrin5:

The d series is a nice fit actually, and you get a 5 speed in the deal.....this is my buddies P'up.

After I spent what I did rebuilding the engine in Buzz, I almost had a forehead slap moment - I coulda hadda Honda motor in it for the same money. And I doubt it would have hurt the value of Buzz since no one likes the Clubman in the first place, and it's a wagon in the second place. If I had it to do again, I know which way I'd go.....

I agree Dave. But ya know, these little hot rods are cool as hell when it comes down to it. They are in a class seperate from the regular classics. It's just for fun and the thrill of driving such a go-fast little car.
