    Just the facts

Ok, first off I think Sprintek got a bad rap, I have a modified one on my R53 running E85 with a wtr to air cooler, 750cc injectors,head,V2 and running Full Access software, it is my track car, but still streetable it put down 231 ft lbs torque 293.9 WHP,I am in the process of a stage 2, new head and cam and modifications to the inner cooler and intake. Here are just the facts, any doubts come on down to Willow Springs and join us for a track day, we don't just build fast sand toys lol:wink:

    Nice numbers.. actually AWESOME NUMBERS!!

However the reason for this thread was to see how many m45 blower r53s are out there.
You are the highest numbers on the sprintex that is posted, a guy in Greece topped out at 280 whp ( he still has a adjusted cam gear and ported I/M to add ).

Have fun on the track... keep us in the loop, cool??

    Just me..............................

Sorry but I am calling BS ! If your car has so much power and your running R comp tires why did you only run a BEST lap time of 1:48 ? That is not really a fast time to be bragging about this time of the year with such a high Hp/ Tq car.

I know a car that had just a Head/cam/header, stock SC with a pully running all season tires in the dead of summer he went 1:38 with no limited slip.

You were car 198 right? :ihih:

I'm a older guy and had high H.P. cars in the past, my '70 429CJ Ranchero was putting down 425 H.P. at the rear wheels with a C6 auto built by B&M and 3:90:1 gearing with a Detroit Locker and pushing north of 430 W.T.Q. Now I'm just looking for a reliable 180 W.H.P. and around 177 W.T.Q. on my MINI S, as it runs pretty good now stock and anything higher than 180W.H.P. and I'd end up with another ticket for 140 mph. in a 40 mph. zone! I was on the brakes when he got me on radar because back in '82 the State Troopers had to pull over and stop to get you on radar so I was above 150 MPH. when I saw him first.

First off I didn't say anything about my time being great!
What's your point? I wasn't aware that my time had anything to do with the horsepower I had? Maybe I was tuning my suspension? Maybe I was doing logs on a new motor? Maybe you should do a little more research before you call BS on someone? Do you know for a fact that I don't have 293 WHP? This is why most people that do have good HP don't post on the forums.

Well, you did post a lap time, what did you expect? Lap times are for comparison purposes. If you don't want anyone to critique, simply don't post it. Exactly why did you post it then?

Here for the non believers [IMG]

and horsepower does not dictate what the track time is! I also did not post a track time that was Dan O and I do agree it was not a good track time, that's why I never posted it, I only stated the horsepower the car made on E85, If you look on the green line at 7400 rpm it made 293 HP !

I might not be the best driver, but that's why I build fast stuff to compensate for my slow driving.......LOL

Nice! The thing pulls straight up on the dyno. Lap times have more to do with setups and driver skill, than just a bunch of hp, thats precisely why those underpowered Miatas do so well.

Well considering it was my first time on the big track, and I had a completely new set up on the mini which I had not tested. Most of my efforts were dialing in my car and working out some bugs, for a FWD it wasn't the worst time LOL. Most of my racing is on dirt, rally style with the AWD UTV's we modify, haven't had much time on the asphalt in over 15 years, so it is, what it is. We do build small cc engines and boosted systems for the UTV's but this is the first attempt on the mini and I don't think 290 Horsepower is that bad of a start LOL
