While watching Top Gear 18x06 last night they had a spot in the News section about the Citroën DS-4R. They mentioned it comes with a 256 HP engine and it is the same engine shared with MINI. Just to be sure I did some research to make sure what I heard was correct. All the sites I found had the same info. I have to infer this is correct. So whats the deal here MINI? How did Citroën coax 256 HP out of the same mill that ya'll are getting at most 221 HP in the upcoming JCW Countryman.
They need to be dropping it in the whole line up of MINIs, but be ready for a price increase that you know will come along with it!!! Been out 10 years and virtually got the same HP??? 2002 MINI S List approx 17,000 163 HP 2012 MINI S List approx 24,000 181 HP
I could be as simple as a different turbo or just tuning. It's the same issue that's always been there. The mini is great for opposing all the big gas guzzlers that BMW brings in.
