Since this is the 2nd annual run we should go twice. (Thurs & Fri):ihih: You know just to make sure the run is safe and the roads have not changed.:lol:
I'm planning on going over either Monday or Tuesday; you know, just to make sure the run is safe and the roads have not changed.
Sorry I missed last year's run, but no way am I missing this years! I think there might be a few PittStop members needing some donuts!
The Dragon is only 11 miles long. (That's what my cap says that I bought there) Do you take longer route through the hills? Here in Oregon we go 135 to 180 miles on winding roads on a typical Saturday tour. A couple of times last year we drove over 400 miles in one day. From Portland to Central Washington, then down into central Oregon, and through back roads in the Mt Hood National Park and finally back home.
I drive over 700 miles to get to Fontana in one day it's all flat going 70 mph + I would do day run but I with twisties I don't think I want to do 400 miles. 200 or so miles around the smokies would he good. Remember you have local traffic and crazy winding roads they are not flat like interstates to deal with. Oh and the Dragon is only 11 miles but it's 11 challenging miles of FUN plus add Hellbender and the Foothills parkway and it's a great run. Oh and did you forget you get donuts ? :drool:donut1:
To appease your cardiologist?!!! Dave.O, there's still room at Kick Ball event! C'Mon!!! It'll be epic FUN....:biggrin5::biggrin5:
I watch the kickball game every year from my front porch and driveway across the street while I chill out and drink an epic cold beer.
That is the route the sunrise runs take. Some clockwise, some counterclockwise. Minus the spur to the donut shop of course.
Uh oh ladies and gents…keep your under garments on. This guy is coming to MOTD! I will join this drive when I figure out how to sign up.
