Amen.
Anyone else use FUELLY to track mileage?
So far, after 36 fill-ups, my overall average is 30.0 MPG.
The best is 32.7 for a tank.
Worst is 21.2, but that was several runs on the Tail of the Dragon and other roads in the area

I do the Cincinnati-Columbus run pretty regularly in my '08 MCS and get similar results. You can actually get a lot more if you stick to 55~65, but who the heck wants to do that?
I did one run on old US 42 and got 35ish, iirc. It's a slower highway, longer drive, but a little more interesting than I-71. But not a whole lot, really. Once you get into Central Ohio flatland it's still dull and flat. I very much prefer my valley and hills. -
I like the interesting drives, but after a while I just want to get there!!

I've been using the iPhone app Road Trip LE to track mine.
Just passed 10,000 miles on the JCW (30+ overall) with an average of 28.5 mpg
I only get the 30's on extended road trips. The daily commute (~70mi RT) gives me between 26 and 29 depending how heavy my foot feels. -

Seems almost sacrilegious to talk MPG for this car
Oddly enough, I get better mileage in town/on my daily commute.
Highway travel at anything above 72 MPH returns less than 30 MPG.
As low as the 21.2 MPG I got while on the Tail of the Dragon, it is about what I saw for an average in my pervious car: 2004 VW R32.
All this beats my Jeep that averages 12.4 MPG (single digits when off-road.) -
