I think what irritates me most about the 4-door... is the window frames on the doors. It just doesn't look right.
I told an English friend of mine I finally got a British car. An R53 MINI JCW. He said "It's not a real Mini. It's too big. BMW ruined the Mini". We're still friends. He's a car guy when we met he had a TWR XJS and we blasted down the M60 at 150mph.
Also sales should go through the roof since they now pass the EPA standards and the recalls have been addressed. Everybody wants a Ford Escape Ooops I mean Mini 4 door.
I love my R56. I just let any negativity from anyone else roll off my back, because really - who cares so long as I'm happy with my car? Although I have to admit it does bug me when people say the Mini is a "girly" car. Not quite sure why, especially considering my sex....
Actually, the BRITS ruined the Mini when they could not keep Rover from going under and then never bothered to offer yet another Mini under the British name. Leave it to the Brits to play the blame game...now, it's BMW who "ruined the Mini"? I think not....:nonod:
So what I hear is you are for Governments bailing out automotive manufactures....:idea: (GM & Chrysler) *Note Ford never took any US Government bail out money.
