4th? I gotta cut back on the drinking. I don't remember there have already been 3 previously. Looking forward to it.
Since we lost the posts on this thread yesterday let me recap the progress. Ran a preliminary route yesterday into Athens and back to Columbus. Initially was going to go to Jackie O's in Athens. That won't work not only because of a home football game on the 10th but more so because parking would be terrible. Checked out another brewery down there that may work, talking to them about arrangements. Lots of roads closed for paving and that GD tar and chip stuff that should only be used on driveways and alleys. This is going to be about a 240 mile run with two good stops this year and some new roads (probably not for Chuck since he and Bill know every stinkin' road in southern Ohio). That's it for now. Put 10/10 on your calendars!
Yes! Sounds awesome. Mind if I bring a buddy of mine? He wants to run some fun roads - just picked up a 997 Turbo.
I didn't really think about the parking situation. Any time a group of us have gone down there we have had to search for individual parking spots.
Drove the route again today making a few adjustments. Settled on the Breweries and visited them. Good parking, good food and brew menu and no college football traffic.
Who's planning on going on the tour this year? Activity has been low with regards to this event. Considering the amount of work remaining to finalize everything, I would like to have a better idea of planned involvement before I spend more time with this.
Mark I plan on going & Bill does too. Depending if it is an open car guy event or MINI only. Thanks for your hard work I know this is not an easy task.
