Interesting...what time you thinking? With COTA on strike downtown is a gonna be a real mess tonight for Red, White and Boom and again tomorrow for the Do Dah Parade. Might be a good time for me to escape for a while.
Hey! Wait a minute, that's my home town..... But I don't live there now. When I was a kid it was a good place. had 2 plants running for International Harvester plus lots of small providers that fed the plants. Sad to see the town decline.
Yeah and I will follow you down said gravel roads... The Twin Clutch is a pretty sweet transmission, not my first choice, but more importantly Allison can drive it.
I was thinking meet at Tim Horton's on Hilliard Rome about 8-8:30 and head out by 9. Just checked with the shooting range. They are closed tomorrow.
I have not driven the twin clutch but know it gets good reviews. My biggest question is in manual mode will it hold a gear against the limiter? Every VW I have driven said it would do that BUT they all shifted right after hitting the limiter. On the road it isn't a big deal but on an AutoX course it is helpful to be able to hold a gear for a second or two to get to a corner.
Yup in manual mode it will let you hit the limiter and even kill the engine. Scared the crap out of the salesman, on a different one I test drove...strange I never got a call back about that car...
The Clifton Gorge thing sounds fun but we are going pass since we are dog sitting and she isn't use to being home alone for more than an hour or two.
It's not hocking hills. But I made a convoluted route that should be more fun than just rt42. See you in the morning
