MINI5280 will host this event at the Winter Park Resort near Winter Park, CO.
Dates for the event are Thursday August 12th - Sunday August 15th, 2010.
More details will be forthcoming but at least you can now schedule vacation.
The resort is offering us some very good room rates and will soon be taking reservations. I will post more details once the registration is open.
Soon we will begin updating the event site at www.MINIsInTheMountains.com and this site will be your clearinghouse for all MITM information.

So schedule vacation, prepare for reserving rooms and dream of August in the Colorado Rockies!

We are very excited with the opportunities that Winter Park offers MITM. Its a great resort and the surrounding location is great for MINI motoring. MINI5280 is hoping everyone can join us in the cool mountain air and will enjoy the new location.
I'm sure someday we will return to Copper Mountain, but for now there's a new venue with new drives and new sights.

We would like to set a new attendance record this year. To that end our motto is - "Keep it fun but keep it inexpensive"!
Winter Park Resort has a lock on the "Keep it fun" and has really stepped up to the "keep it inexpensive" part. I can't wait to share the details with you.
    Soon, very soon.

With the new base of ops at WP, I find myself fantasizing about the number of times we'll get to go up and over Berthoud Pass to get to many of the preplanned routes...

I think we can do it at least a dozen times. I love that road as much as I love the Western Dragon!

That photo is just one side and not all of the pass, the other side is even better. I drive it almost everyday, Looking forward to seeing everyone, I have a retail store at Copper and opened one last year in Winter Park, your going to love it. Lots of great fun, look for the Sparkling Silver MC parked in front of my store (silver creek) right at the base of the resort. The road routes around here are fantastic. Definately TOP GEAR FUN. See ya in August, looking forward to future updates

Here's a YouTube video for you to enjoy:

Yep, I used a trial version of Google Earth Professional to do this because I could spring for the $400.
If somebody has the licensed version I'd be willing to send you a Tour file. :)

How many peeps do you usually see coming to this? Im still going to be driving up from New Mexico to meet up with some MINI folk that will actually wave when I drive by!

Is there going to be registration on the website, or will it just be when I get there?

Gil - We have averaged 200 MINIs over the past 4 years. People-wize that turns to something like 325 - 350. This year I expect to be well above average due to reasons soon to be released.
We have a website: www.minisinthemountains.com and it will have an on line registration within the next two weeks. You can get your room right now (see our website for more details and instruction). Hope to see more then a wave!

OK people - MITM 2010 Registration Is Now Open!

    Visit www.MinisInTheMountains.com

Remember - Register for MITM and get into MTTS for free!

PS - Our event shirts this year are sequentially numbered based on registration order. Just thought I'd toss that incentive out there.
