Columbia, SC. Got a little rental house down there waiting to go, and Sarah starts Masters classes mid August
I've been toying with finding a farmers market to visit after breakfast.... anyone know of a good one?
I think that there is one in downtown New Albany which would probably be pretty nice, but I've never been. And that would be right down the street.
I believe the Clintonville one should be open. HOME | Clintonville Farmers' Market, Columbus, Ohio If I can't make it for donuts, I'll probably be there.
I can't believe you didn't mention the one at the park off of Clark State. It was easliy take a couple of minutes to stop at the 4-5 stalls that are there each week.
With so many people coming on Saturday maybe we should try and get the lower parking lot closed so we can have the following type of races: :donut1: :donut1: :donut1: :donut1:
There is some fantastic BBQ in Tipp City, at the I-75 exit. It's called Hickory River and is Texas style. It has won all kinds of awards, including the contest at the Ohio State Fair. We go there a lot and, I think it's even better than Sonny's, in Corbin, KY [I stop there to and from the Dragon].
Wow, a roadtrip that would end up with us closer to home instead of east of cbus, that would unusual! Then again, all the roads would be straight and boring! Lol Thanks for all the suggestions for farmers markets... Now to decide which way to travel! Can't wait to see everyone again.
I have actually eaten there before and I can attest it is excellent BBQ. Too bad it is not a little closer to Columbus...
There's also supposed to be a pretty good place where Carve lives, called Oink-A-Doodle-Moo. I've never tried it, but it also has some great ice cream next door. Both are just off west US 40, in Englewood.
