    Volksfest pics.....

    Sure was an interesting show. I was there 8 years ago & I'm thinking it has grown 3 times over.

    I had lots of fun, but I fear Babs has her eyes on another. Cold German guy, with no sense of warmth what so ever. Besides he's an airhead. :p

    Looks like Audi TT grey. There is a Miata locally that is getting sprayed that color:

    The car in pic 37 passed us on I70, such a fun looking car.

    Pic 71 is something I would like to own at some point.

    Is it bad that I like the pictures of the parts better than those of the whole cars?

    Nope I do have a purple trunk lid that I plan to get painted this winter, maybe I will throw it on tonight for the drive tomorrow :)

    Mine will stay white with red and blue stripes added next year.

    I'll be doing Volksfest. I've had a whole infestation of Beetles in my younger years. Who'd a thunk they'd ever be worth real money. The times they are a changin.....

    From what I observed there was little water cooled love to be seen. Maybe it's a Mini-MINI kind of thing??

    but, ya might wanna be a little careful driving in and out from that show on Saturday. 7,000 pelotonia riders are going to be sharing some of those roads this weekend.

    Thanks for the heads up. I'll be checking out the course map to make sure I'm no where near them.

    Edit- After checking the route I'm OK to head there & back, but I'd have been screwed if I tried to take one of my favorite back road drives. Those roads are going to be unusable this weekend.

    There were 2 groups air cooled and water cooled. It was more like the 911 then anyone else thing.

    If it's like most Mini/MINI things I've been to over the past year you'll be able to see Camaros, Corvettes, Studebakers.....

    Love the different kinds of cars. Hope I see an Avanti & a Golden Hawk. Haven't seen any of those yet this year. Any of those on MINI takes the.... ?

    There use to be an Avanti that I would see parked at work occasionally. I'm not sure that I've seen it this summer.
