Jan at RMW makes a kit to fit under 6ULs. Give him a call, and see cct1's thread here:

That's exactly what Jan does with his 949, although his fronts may have an even wider spacer than 10mm, not sure on that.
This is what I'm trying to run this year--949 15x 8's on with 225/45/15 Nitto 01's (or Hoosier one-offs, haven't decided for sure yet), I'm pretty sure I'm going to be able to get both the 949's and hubcentric/wheelcentric spacers front and rear from Jan.-

I can't say directly, as I run stock brakes with my 6UL's (I own the 15x7, 15x8, and 15x9 versions), but keep in mind that the 15x7 (and the 7.5) 6UL's have less brake clearance than the 8's and 9's.

If I'm not mistaken I think I've seen the 7.5 need a 5mm spacer to clear the caliper, it would seem unless I go with a low profile caliper that a spacer will be needed. I have never been a big fan of spacers but I suppose a 5mm won't be that bad. Seems my best bet would be to take way up on his offer and test fit my wheel on his car, that will give me my answer easy enough.

The TSW branded kit has the equivalent of a 5mm spacer built in the hat.

or...talk to jan about his low profile brake kit and not have to worry about spacers

I know the TSW kit has a spacer built in because it requires you to go to wheel studs because the factory lug bolts wont work. I actually ended up ordering the wilwood 11.75 kit. I found an old thread on the NAMless site where someone was running the 7.5 6ul with that kit, no mention of spacers. But I ordered a 5mm spacer just in case. Once I have the kit installed i'll post up on here what I find.

Well I got the BBK installed, I learned that the 7" 6ul's require more than a 5mm spacer. I ended up going to a 15mm ( so the wheels could still be hub centric) but I know a 10mm allowed them to clear (I had to ride with stacked 5's for a weekend)
as much as I dislike spacers so far I find my mindset being swayed (being forced to use them an all) the wider track definitely makes a difference in handling, and the stance looks amazing.
Although I think one day I may venture into another set of rims that will clear on their own, who knows maybe ill get a set of 16's or maybe 17's and go big again.... Who am I kidding? I love 15's on my MINI. -
Not sure if you are going to be at the dragon next week, but I'll have my 15x8's and 15x9's with me, if you are at all interested in looking at the increased brake clearance on those 949's, look me up!
15's are the way to go! :biggrin5:

I will be there next week plan on arriving Tuesday afternoon. ill have to look you up, might be interesting to see how the 15 x 8's clear.

I have custom 5mm hubcentric spacers on my car. The wheels have a 73mm bore and the hubs are 56.1mm, so there's enough room for a hub extension to fit over the existing hub. They could do the same for your car with 10mm spacers if the 6ULs have a larger hub bore than OEM.

I had thought about ordering hubcentric/wheel centric spacers. but in the interest of time I went with the WMW 15mm ones (he is local so I was able to go pick them up)
There was also the thought of what if I run a different wheel someday that doesn't have the same hub sizing as the 949? then id have to use hub rings for a miata etc, it would just start making things confusing. -
I'm not a big fan of putting a spacer and a ring on, it's ok for the street, but I'd rather have one solid piece for the track. There are people who do it, but it gets me out of my comfort zone slightly, especially when there are people who are against using spacers in the first place (I'm not one of those).
