    Light, good looking (though I'd personally prefer something a little less black...), I'm pretty sure you're right about the spacers. My 16x8s have nearly identical offset and I use 5mm spacers. I'm also lowered a bit and that didn't seem to make any difference...your mileage may vary. Seems pretty light for a cast 15x8.....I see it's a pre-order, does that mean it's a new wheel? With anything that light and cast I think I would want to know folks have successfully used/abused it already before committing.

    949 is known for crafting a quality lightweight wheel. Previous models are track tested on many Miatas. The manufacturing process they use, a semi-forged or low pressure cast has shown to be quite reliable. Enkei uses the same process for a very successful line of race wheels.

    The sticking point is the BBK. I'd grab the TCE fitment template pdf and send it to 949. I'm sure they have a mock up or full size drawings they can measure against.

    The other issue is the availability of rubber in 15" Every season tehre are fewer and feweer applications available in that size.

    Thanks for the comments.

    Looks like I might have to expand my sights to the TD 1.2s as well...

    I emailed Emilio of 949 racing and he said he wasn't sure about the Wilwood 11.75 kit, although his FAQ page says it fits with the dynalite caliper.

    Does the TCE kit come with a dynalite or a dynapro? I always get these confused...

    I would get moist if 949 made this wheel in a 16x8 and 16x9 that would clear the TSW BBK. :blush2:

    But yeah, if they would make them in a 16x8 - 4x100 - 38 Offset I'd buy a few sets..

    I'd bet they become all the rage with the MINI Track Rat/AutoX Junkies

    Just had my gen 2 6ULs delivered this morning.. should have Kumho XS on them by the end of the week and then I can speak to the any issues with lowered cars.

    No BBK to test fit against, unfortunately, though I'd gladly meet up with someone to check them either in AZ or if anyone is going to be at the Big SoCal Euro meet in a couple of weeks?

    Ya know if someone wants to send me a set of the 15" 6UL's wrapped in somthing R compoundish I'd be more than happy in the interest of science to test fit at a track day to make sure they work....

    I'm running 949 with 225 45 15 Hoosiers, and the wilwood 11.75 brake kit on the front stock brakes on the back. Run a 25 mm spacer on the front none on the back, need at least a 5 mm on the front to clear the calipers.

    Roach, is that a typo or are you really running a 25mm spacer up front???
    If so, what studs are you using for them to fit???

    Yes 25 mm spacers. TSW studs, they are flush with the ends of the nuts when in place. Lot's of track days with this set up and no problems. You don't really need the 25mm but I wanted to get the track as wide as I could, it's harder on the wheel bearing but nobody ever said this is a cheap hobby.

    Did you go with 15x8 all around? I see people who have done 8 in front and 7 in the rear to stop rubbing.

    They are the same width on all corners, different would be a pain in the ass. My wheels are the old style 949, had my shop order them and think they are the 7's. Had an off and bent my old wheels and needed something quick. but the 225's fit fine, everything clears.

    Phil's tire has the new 949's in stock they called yesterday to let me know.

    Cool - thanks for the help.

    Any cooling issues to the Wilwoods since the fitment is so tight? I notice you have the WMW ducts, as I do. Do you think Turner's 75mm studs are long enough for a 25mm spacer?

    Love these wheels, and I'm glad to hear they're working for you with the Wilwood kit.

    No cooling issues. I have the real JCW ducts, guess they do something they end long way from the disk. Also I've hit several apex cones and that knocks them apart.
