A Big Star Burned out...Alex Chilton

    Alex Chilton died of a heart attack on 3/17. Many of you are probably saying Alex who, but you have heard his music or its influences. As one of the founding members of Big Star he helped pen some hits but the band was never a commercial success. Bands such as R.E.M. credit Big Star as being influential in their sound.

    Didn't know about the Boxtops connection,great song,I remember it from way back.Still holds up today.Too bad he's gone.Damn entropy!
