I thought the same thing and that is why I got her the Continental Extreme DWS tires to see how they compared with the General UHP tires.

John made me a member however not really sure how much I will be on here as he usually is on the computer. I do know that taking the advice from Steve and all those that have gone before me to drop the RFT's was the best Mod John could have gotten me to date.

Wow, I didn't have to wait for 16,000 posts to get in. We replaced our run flats with the Conti Extreme Contacts ( and going up 2" in size) just before heading to Minis in the Mountains. Extremely impressed with the tires - fantastic handling (including through a mega downpour in Utah), and improved comfort. Very happy with the tires (and wheels and stripes.

How quiet or noisy are they compared to what you had on there before?

A little quieter, not as harsh a ride, and with better road feedback.

I know that when we took the onramp for 99 south they squeaked as we went around the turn where as my Generals have not done that. Traction along with ride and noise have been great compared to the RFT but then we all expected that.

Now you have to get to 200k. I passed 162k this morning on the way to the shop. I'll have to replace a front wheel bearing/hub and the heim joints in my Helix control arms but nothing expensive has gone yet.
