That is bad.. I have to drive my truck now that the mini is in the shop.. it does not even come close to the mpg that the mini has.... but then it is for hauling the 5th wheel around too, big 7.3 diesel
Ok another day and another car collision. The Intrepid is on the way to the insurance company for final evaluation Samantha was driving on a sweeping turn to the left when a car ran a stop sign and turned into her as the other car accelerated. I would estimate the impact speed was around 55-60 miles per hour. The right front of the intrepid to the front of the Toyota Hybrid with both cars disabled with air bag deployments on both vehicles. Front bumper, hood, right headlight, radiator, battery, front windshield, rear windshield (Broke when trunk closed), both airbags and its a 2001 car. Along with unknown damage to the engine as the hood was stuck and I did not get a chance to pry the hood up. Sam was wearing her seatbelt and tried to avoid the accident and ended up being taken to medical afterwards with bruising on her right arm, left knee and sore neck. So now were looking for a replacement for the intrepid and waiting for the final verdict from the insurance company. The collision did have a witness who confirmed that the other driver did not stop at the stop sign and that Samantha was doing the speed limit. I would love for her to get a Mini but she is wanting something different.
Was it raining? Hope Sam is doing well and not too sore. Crashes are tough on the body as well as the mind. Friday night was a slow snowy ride home and Susie had to do some careful driving in white out conditions. Once home mini had a white snow beard.
Weather was not a factor in the collision just a driver not stopping and looking. The cop's were not even offered donuts however with both our Mini's coming to the scene from opposite directions it was a reassuring sight for Sam. She got back in and drove a couple of new cars last night and then drove her Mom's car home from Selma which was good for the mind.
Stop sign/light running is becoming too common. Either on purpose or from being distracted it's getting dangerous to assume the other driver is going to stop when required. Defensive driving is the order of the day. I hope Samantha is OK and gets a better car than that Dodge. You know what I've always called it. She's also lucky to have the parents she has. Steve
I guess the Dodge did not "dodge" fast enough:crazy: You know you can call me if you need any insurance help.
it is good to hear that the family is ok ..as stated cars are not cheap but much easier and cheaper to replace then family members
Samantha was driving the direction of that her car is facing. The Toyota came from the right on a road that has a stop sign which witnesses say she ran as she turned left heading into Samantha closing the distance and increasing collision speed as the two cars collided nose on in a slightly off set head on collision. The impact spun the Toyota almost 180 degrees and leaving it to the right and forward of Samantha. Air bags deployed on both vehicles.
Glad she is alright. Cars can be repaired or replaced. Hey Steve, my heater isn't working. The panel is working but even when I raise the temp, it doesn't change. All the switches are working and the a/c is working fine. Is there another component that controls the heater? Let me know. Thanks Do you have any coolant? There is just a flap that redirects the air through the heater core. Do you have the auto heater/ac system? Steve
Steve the GOMINIGO 3rd brake pulsars went in easily on both the New Beetle and the Ford Fusion. LED light and a little MINI in both vehicles will provide some protection for them both. I set them both up on 6 flashes giving the Beetle the smart technology so that it will not go off every time in stop and go traffic and the Fusion will go off every time.
Hi Steve, I have the auto air system. I haven't had any problems with overheating or leaks. I have not checked or had the coolant checked. Thanks
Too bad they wouldn't have helped with Samantha's accident. Maybe she should have had the new CMS rocket launcher system. Steve
