Chief been fun hanging out at shop, thanks for all the help on the mini. have a fun and safe journey. Jason
Be safe John, and thanks for the dedication for the last 29 years in keeping our country safe :cornut:
Renaissance man....yes I do go to Casa de fruita faire renaissance faire about every other year  I received my basic pilots license early in High School when I was in AFROTC. Later became instrument rated and then started to what I really wanted was to be Seaplane rated.Life prevailed and it never happened. I would have gone into any US service that would have let me fly Jets but the physical exam (eyes) screwed me on that. I did have an Ultra Light business selling the Weedhopper in Rancho Cordova, Viper Aeronautics in 1978. That sorta fulfilled the desire to be like a "bird"? Ok so your trip to the in-law means......? We will not see you again on our trip down for the meeting? :frown2:
Which route and what time? Katie and I will hang out on freeway and moon you as you go by. How's that for a send off :lol::lol::lol::lol:
That is interesting, I had my A&P plus a private pilots license and the eye exam kept me out of Army flight school. There was a stinking war going on and they still would not even let me fly helicopters. Go figure. Jim
Facing the full moon rising we're going to run up I-5. I knew that I was going to be late but I did not expect it to be this long of a day.
:cornut: God Bless you Master Chief. Keep your powder dry, the wind at your back, and check your 6 often. Jason
I had Checkers retuned yesterday and here's how it went. Numbers are 220 hp 194 tq at 6300 rpm's. Not bad for an automatic. For some reason on the dyno it would shift even earlier than usual. Car's running great.
None yet anyway. Runs strong all the way up. He did say with the 380's I'm a little short on injectors, but he tuned it for the 380's. The last time I got a read out from a dyno it was 196 hp and 182 tq so It improved by 24 hp and 8 lbs tq. It was still making power but it was up shifting even earlier than normal 6300 according to the dyno.
Steve, what's up with Nick's car? This might be a good time to remind everyone about the importance of regularly checking fluids, etc. especially in this weather with lots of miles being put on the car.
You guys missed an awesome race this weekend! Check out the phantom R53 in pic #2 & rear top wing in pic #3. Special thank to Hardingsan on another forum - great pics. We were sitting up on the corkscrew & missing the "off" -- phenomenal recover when VJ's teammate tagged him from behind. Weather was perfect (70-degrees & blue skies) & not a ton of people. The Daytona prototype race was one of the best I've ever watched -- the jockey'ing between car #1 (Gainsco), #2 (Chip Ganassi), & #3 (Spirit of Daytona) was epic. If anybody so much as flinched it was over on the positioning.
Tron Chief, since you are in or near Japan, maybe in your spare time, ha ha, you can find someone who can tell me what these are and what they mean? I think one is something like our annual registration stickers, but I don't know what the others are. These are on Reggie our little imported from Japan Mini. The first is on the back window, the second is on the windshield (windscreen) and the last is on the center of the windscreen. Take care and "We'll keep the light on."
