Hey there Chief, Keep your eyes peeled over there for Casey Anthony sometime after Sunday. I hear she may settle over there thinking that since everyone there looks alike, she'd likely go undetcted...   Stay safe and upwind-a-the fallout.
Dad is making an appointment to have Reggie's transmission checked out. It appears that the belts need to be adjusted. We have been checking the brakes, the engine, the springs, and everything else and he is in tip-top shape so far. The transmission bumps under heavy acceleration but as they say, nothing money can't fix. Reggie has a Garage out here on MA (under my handle, but I still need to sign Dad up and move the garage over). Reggie is anxious to meet the rest of the group. Dad wants to bring him to the British Car event so that may be his big reveal. Dad drove Reggie over the other day and indicated that he had three women wave at him when he went by. With a big smile he informed me that "this car is a chick magnet". Needless to say, I think he will be driven frequently.
Kiki, that's awesome that guys can share your hobby with your dad & that he digs it! Tell him he has to throw a 'yeah baby, yeah!' in there every once in awhile.
They have a 1994 Mini for sale priced at $3000 OBO over here.. Red with White stripes :drool As for the stickers here is a great answer source Japanese Language: Meaning of Japanease car stickers, road tax, jci
Hey, it could be Reggie's older cousin! Thanks for the link, all three of my stickers were depicted. The sticker with the car and the hologram is the Custodian Registry Mark. After that the characters are all different which appears to define the actual City where the car was domiciled. I will have to do more research on that one. The middle sticker is the Maintenance Inspection Sticker which is the road tax sticker and is good for one year after issuance. The square sticker is the Japanese Car Inspection Sticker by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure. Can't quite figure out how they got the date. The sticker on the link has a 20 and a 4 (April 2008) mine has a 20 and 10. Pretty cool. Thanks Chief.
Hey All, Tom and I are going to HOOTERs for dinner tonight. If anyone want to join us we will be there at 5:30. Let me know if you are coming and I can save u a seat!!!!
So I think maybe all the parts are on their way. It'll be way to soon to have the car back and forget this image..... Some women just shouldn't drive SUVs. Could'a been worse I know. (Right Fracky?) PRE-OP PHOTOS POST-OP PHOTOS TO FOLLOW IN A COUPLE WEEKS BTW, SRTech, I opted to stay with the same dampers as were on the car and have the insurance take care of it all. Thanks for your help!
Yes they were replaced as a pair, and no she didn't back into me. She ran a stop sign and hit me. Go figure... It just goes to show, the combination of an out-a-town driver, a 4-year old kid and a new puppy (both creating a backseat distraction) makes for trying times for those who shouldn't be given the keys in the first place. As a side note: A Volvo SUV is Frigg'n HUGE when staring at the grille through the MINI's side window. :yikes:
