Hey all, I heard from two of my family members that they say a club of MINIs rolling through Oakhurst and Coarsegold yesterday. There were 13 of them. Man what I would have given to be there to find out what club they were. Imagine having more mini friend. Even though it was probably people we already know but still!! Made me smile that my family called me about the group!! So had to share!! Tina

It's SCMM's annual run through the Mother Lode. They call it Devil's Backbone. They're on their way to Murphy's for the night, then over the pass to HWY 395 and back home. A four day trip for them all. Now that's a FUN run!
Good lookin' out Camaro. That CAE setup is pretty sweet! The install looks fairly straight-forward. Did the guy who installed it post his before/after thoughts?
I was the installer and had a go at driving. All I can say is for $1108 its worth every penny. I kept laughing while I shifted because the feel was PERFECT in every way.

Dr. Steve, Do you have any innercooler boots in stock? And if so, are they factory or silicone?, and what would you recommend for replacement? I am looking for a set.
Well, between relatives visiting from New York, being really crazy at work, and figuring out how much damage the Jeep suffered on the Rubicon Trail, my normal one post per month and a half has dropped off precipitously! Today I looked under the Jeep to see why the gas cap code keeps showing up (since I replaced the gas cap and it didn't go away). A common cause is a crack in the evap canister (which is in a vulnerable spot), but that isn't the problem - it's the fact that one side is almost completely ripped off! So, I now need to replace the canister (around $50) and skid plate it! Of course, the MINI is doing fine!
Have been over the Rubicon more than a dozen times since the mid 70's in my '43MB, '74 CJ-5 and '85 Ford Ranger. Last time through it was almost like a freeway. Love that road, but would not try it with the MINI
