I use them.

Actually found out that with the software I use for data logging, I can add in the innovative hardware as a plug in to monitor a/f along with the other pid's.

Got everything set up yesterday, went for a ride today and after about 5 minutes of driving I got an error code of E8 which is for high temps at the o2 sensor. The instructions state there are occasions where a piece of copper can be used to deflect heat and keep the sensor cooler. Nitro did you have any issues with yours? The sensor is located about 2-3 inches before the cat. It came with a 1 inch bung, the place that installed the bung reccomended a shorter 1/2 inch bung. Could this be contributing to the high heat code? I recalibrated it twice just to make sure as well. Innovative does have an o2 sensor heat sink but it is $90. Trying to avoid that if possible. Any thoughts?

I had to use the heat sink while I still had a cat. Later I didn't not need it.

Where you getting the error of 8 flashes on the LED? I spoke to Innovative this morning and they thought it was a ground issue more than heat?

Yes. My pyrometer confirmed that at times I exceeded the operating limits of the sensor. In the end I just relocated a little farther down stream where I knew the exhaust was running cooler. -
I have an old pyrometer from my truck that I still have and wondered if anyone used one. Where did you install the sensor.
