Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Synpathy sickness for your dog? Sorry to hear you had to put him down, but 12 is a long life for a golden. All you can do now is remember all the wonderful times and joy he brought into your life.
We have poodles because of my allergies, since they don't shed or produce the dander other dogs do.....a nasal steroid spray will relieve your symptoms and not cause other problems like increased blood pressure or bounce back when you stop using it.
Go find another fur buddy as soon as you can, it'll help with your grieving. -
So sorry about that. Losing a pet is so difficult.

ugh... so sorry. It's always rough.

just because they have 4 legs and fur, doesn't mean they aren't part of the family. I'm sorry for your loss, and hope you have many great memories to help you through.

Our pets manage to wheedle themselves nicely into our hearts. Losing one is akin to losing a best friend as well as a member of one's family. I am truly sorry for your loss, Brian.

Too many people try to keep a pet around for themselves. That's seldom best for the animal. You did the right thing. Like Nathan said, Remember the good times and keep him in your memory.

Sorry for your loss. Any animal in the family becomes part of the family. I've been through it many times with Dogs, cats, and birds. They all had long and love filled lives. It's all you can do for them. Remember him well and tell the good stories about him and he'll never truly be gone.

DUDe.. i've been there so many times, and we currently have to doggies over 16 years old and dont look like they are going to be with us another year. I'm trying to brace myself when the time comes. But i dont want to think of the pain. My pets are my babies.
