Found this Forum to be a great one and less drama and hype than NAM.

Ok, so someone said I should come over here. I was on a sewing site and it seemed that all the cool kids were over here now. Well now that I have jumped over I can see why you all did so, very nice site. Now all we need to do is capture/retain the good info from said sewing site. Happy Motoring!!!

I was wondering if anyone else thinks it may be considered rude of new members joining the MA not to at least pop in and introduce themselves before going straight to threads and posting? I am referring to not the absolute newbies to forums but known members of other forums that join up and think they are so well known to all that they don't need to be polite and say hi here at the "The Starting Line"?

    Thoughts opinions?

You're expecting "polite" or "rule following" on the internet?

thumbs up on taking your MINI forum passions private, Nathan. I went that route years back on my illustration site's message board after using a freehost in my case, and not liking not having control over what some other entity might be doing with my data. My board has been free, open and privately owned ever since.

    Glad I found this board!

    Nope

I have absolutely no problem with people jumping into the deep end as thier first posts. I don't often read the treads about "hi I'm new here" or the like. But that's just me, others may feel differently....

Thanks, MetalMan. I see you are in Columbus...I get serviced at MAG, from time to time. I used to do the breakfast gatherings at Tim Horton's in New Albany, but kinda wore out my welcome...lol...so I just stay put now, go to MOTD, or HPDEs with Buckeye BMWCCA.

    Newbe, rud sorry

SORRY I did not find the right place to do an introduction still learning this site, definitely defrant than any set up other sites i go to.

I will throw this out now hope to find the right place later.

I am 55 yr old retired and disabled person have just put a depsit on a new Clubman JCW LASER BLUE. I hope to read learn from all the nice folks here.

I also have participated on couple sites they argue far to much about small infractions poor writing skills. I hope this site runs loosely friendly as we all love our little Mini's.
