Hello! I'm a once and future MINI owner. I started with an 06 MCSa, which I tinkered with for 3 years plus. We sold it when our baby was getting challenging back there, moving to an Element. While I love carting my bikes around in that thing upright, etc, we came to terms with our MINI addiction and decided to take another look at our options. We never considered a Clubby at the time, as we had the same reaction to it in 08 that most MINI drivers had. However, we took a look and a test drive and found that it significantly improved the baby-transporting experience, yet still felt very MINI. So, we took the plunge. The new ride is a few months away, just a glimmer in the Oxford eye, but come mid-November, I'll post some photos, as is customary. Here's my last MINI, which I still miss terribly... I'm an architect, I build bikes and enjoy fixed-gear conversions, I moonlight as a comic artist, and I live just over the Golden Gate Bridge in Mill Valley. Hello! thom
Howdy, thanks for signing up. Been wracking my brain all afternoon as why I know of Mill Valley when I'm from the east and transplanted in TX...It finally occurred to me, the Cyra McFadden book that was made into the movie Serial.
Hahahaha. Thanks allayall Mill Valley is at the base of Mt Tamalpais, which lies along the range of cliffside twisties where many car commercials are filmed. I know them as a cyclist more than anything but I used to see sports cars and what not being driven around being filmed by helicopters, pretty funny. Of course, like most of the mountain roads in the bay area, once you zip around them in a line of MINIs from your local club tearing it up bonnet to boot you gain a new appreciation for both the roads and the car. we're fairly recent transplants from san Francisco, however, just a stones throw (and a bay) from here.
