Add Lambo stickers to your MINI and be done with it... -
^ this. Most people frown on posers.

There is a member of our local MINI club who has a Clubman JCW that is painted to look like a GP, complete with GP graphics and GP wheels.
It has a roof graphic that says, "GPC 001". (Clubman).
Another club member who has an actual GP got his shorts all in a twist over it. I think it's pretty funny! -
The BMW roundel on a MINI, if done in a tongue-and-cheek manner, doesn't bother me. I have a friend/customer that runs one of the top restoration shops in the country. He's about 6'4", easily 250-plus pounds, and his daily driver is a SMART car. He rebadged it with Mercedes emblems and nomenclature, just for fun. He likes the confusion it creates for people who don't know much about cars.
My name begins with a "Z." I used Adobe Illustrator to modify the Miata logo and create new graphics for my Miatas with "Ziata." I also put "ZeaDoo" graphics on my Seadoos. Most people noticed the Ziata mod, but very few noticed the ZeaDoo mod -- it looks too much like the factory graphic.
Come to think of it, I posted this once before with a picture. Here it is again.
If I were to put GP graphics on my MINI, I'd probably do "ZP" instead of GP, just to make MINI owners wonder, "WTF is a ZP?"

Re-badging was a big thing with the FR-S crowd. Many were upset, including yours truly, when Toyota decided to badge the FR-S as a Scion here in the U.S. apparently in an effort to add some credibility to the Scion brand which didn't work.

One does not sticker / badge a car with "GP" if it is not a "Real GP".
It just says poor loser / poser that can not buy a real GP. -
I'm gonna make a GP style sticker, only it's going to have the letters DA. And I'm gonna start slapping on the hood scoop opening, GP style, on anyone who earns them. Don't worry about sizing if you're afraid of being left out, I'm making them for the R53, R56, and F56 slot. Course they'll have to be fake for the R56 and F56. And don't worry about numbers for the roof--I've got that covered too, so we can quickly match the owner to the car..
