[IMGL]http://d.yimg.com/a/p/ap/20091009/capt.5138f623691b45c18fba698ed4f521fd.playboy_marge_simpson_cx501.jpg?x=213&y=287&xc=1&yc=1&wc=304&hc=410&q=85&sig=VMnTJDlFf7avi.sSGzhFjg--[/IMGL]CHICAGO – Marge is about to do something Homer might not approve of.
Playboy magazine is turning over its cover to the matriarch of Springfield's first family: Marge Simpson.
It's a first for the magazine, which has had everyone from Marilyn Monroe to Cindy Crawford to the Girls of Hooters and even the likes of Jerry Seinfeld on the cover. But it's never had a cartoon character before.
Marge and her pile of bright blue hair are set to grace the cover of the November issue of Playboy. It will hit the newsstands October 16.
Marge isn't going to bare all, though, as the magazine says there will only be "implied nudity" in the 3-page pictorial.
New CEO Scott Flanders says the idea is to attract readers in their 20s to a magazine where the average reader's age is 35.

    I think it's funny too.
But it disturbs me that to attract young males, they have to put a cartoon lady on the cover???????

    When you have young kids

you watch a lot of programs that you'd never expect you would. My current favs are Phineas and Ferb, and the Backyardagains!

    My, how far I've fallen.....

    Sure!

But we need an advanced payment of over $2,000,000. And to find someone with an electroshock machine....

But then, your life will be so, so empty....

My life is already empty. Trying to fill it with imagery of you watching, and my I say liking, kid's shows is cruel and unusual.

    As compared to what?

American Idol? Survivor? Geeze, adult tv pretty much sucks big time. It's not a hard standard to better.

You can't count those shows as good tv.....

Now Dexter, Californication, Sons of Anarchy.... those are some good shows

Bravo! I am also starting to like "Bored to Death". I find the tongue in cheek writing to be on par with Californication and hilarious.

Matt, you should checkout the Discovery offerings and some of the TLC, A&E stuff. That's what I usually have my TV tuned to. That is of course when I am not watching America's Next Top Model. :mad2:

    Playboy

I like the Simpsons but the whole cartoon thing...... I wouldn't mind seeing a "ladies of DIY" or something like that.

    Two shows I do like

were Hung (pretty funny) and Mad Men. But it pisses me off that they have such short season.

Hung I do like. Mad Men was good, but somehow I moved away from it. And I am with you on this. What's with 12 episode seasons? Seriously. Most likely it is the fact that they are on the premium channels and outside of product placement ad revenue would be non-existent.

On a slightly different note, I really wish Discovery would stop trying to come up with Deadliest Catch the sequel.

HBO's notorious for short seasons...... I am a huge True Blood fan, and that ended in a blink of an eye! (or so it seemed :rolleyes5:)
