Thanks, I have done a little tire research in the past and don't remember anything that specifically touched on sidewall stiffness. Good info, always finding new stuff out here.

Thanks for all the input. The 17" wheels came with a set of worn tires, almost slicks, and I think I will mount the wheels just to see how I like Pepper. I know I like the look, but how they handle under my driving will determine if I buy a new set of 17" tires. Thanks again...now how about a 'what's the best tire?' thread.:biggrin5:

For summer tires, it's hard to beat Michelin PSS, or Continental DW if on a budget.

    It's easy to beat Michelin PSS's .....

Buy a set of Dunlop StarSpecs.

They are cheaper and have better grip and they do not screech. Tread wear .... Who cares? They are rated at 200 so they are nice and soft.
I buy a set every other year since I only use them for the Dragon and the Summer.

For winter I put sh!tty winter tires on S heavies just in case I need to take my car out.

Very true, but I thought he was aiming toward a daily driver
tire with a little less sidewall stiffness by his initial comment
about dropping the runflats (No, I'm not comparing the SS's
with runflats except for their higher than average sidewall
stiffness!!), so I suggested a step down in ultimate performance
from the SS's with the PSS or DW.
