I'd question the 18" wheel decision myself. They might look good. MINI may offer them as an option, but the ride is really rough with so little sidewall.

    Plus they are heavy...

That said, I think the Konigs are conical seat. I'd check that with Konig though. You'll want that type of bolt.

The issue I had with switching to studs and bolts, are they are always the same length...
So they might look good on some rims...but be too long for others.
With a set of lug bolts...they always (IMO) look right, both with the OEM rims that exposed bolts, and most of the aftermarket ones...
And funny thing is I found I like THE BOLTS...Faster to thread when I change rims....just hold the rim in place momentarily, hanging it on the hub centric ring...then put a bolt through a hole...rotate the rim a bit and bam...bolt lines up..finger tighten..grab the others.... Quick one arm, one handed move....
No stray nuts to have roll away...

I'll recommend McGard bolts. Spline drives is what you need.

A friend was racing his MGA, it had wire wheels with knock offs. He had put the splined hubs on the wrong side of the car, this caused the forward motion of the car to loosen the knock offs.

He was going around a corner, when a wheel passed him. He said that he thought to himself, "Some poor jerk lost a wheel!" It wasn't until he entered the straight and his car came down on the inside rear brake drum that he realized he was the "Poor jerk".

My thought on studs & just mine. When I first bought my MINI I installed studs. When tightening the wheels I felt a couple of them stretch. Not a good thing. I bought cheap arse studs so that may have been the problem. Should have bought them from Turner at 5 times the price. I then bought a couple of wheel hangers from fleabay. Made changing wheels much easier. I've never had a wheel fall off on street or track. :D

A couple of these will help. M14X1 25 Stainless Steel Lug Bolt Guide Wheel Hanger | eBay

So you need m14x1.25 thread tuner lugs. I don't have any specific recommendations, sadly. But you can google "m14x1.25 tuner" and find lots of options.

I used Gorilla Tuner lugs on my rims that needed them....was great for the $$, still looks good after a years of use!! Think I used them for my winters rims for 7 years....
Good thing about gorilla was when I needed a new "key" to remove them, it was cheap, and was here in a couple days. the thin-walled key that came with it DID get gauled up a bit from use...but any one will....so be sure to be careful with it, and IMO get a second one...

Other options is studs and lug bolts...did that for ONE season...was not worth it IMO...did not look quite right, and was harder (IMO) to deal with chaging a rim than using a lug bolt if you know how to do it right...if you do go to studs...a few tips...
use a dab of locktight...inset them with the allen heads if you want, but know you WILL NEED TO USE A BIT OF HEAT to soften the locktight, and use two nuts in a jam arrangement to get them off when you remove them...them allen head machined into the head is soft, and for INSTALLS, and even if you get them out, your fingers will ache...

Currently weighing my options. I found a few sets out on the ol interwebs. I go in saturday to the dealership to get some maint. done (car came with maint. package, gotta take advantage.. FREE BRAKES!) and I'm gonna see if they sell any smaller diameter spline bolts. If they don't have them I'll decide on what to do next. It wont kill me to not have these wheels on the car, but they are sweet :)
