Dude... I wouldn't brag about the number of "dark ballrooms" I hang out in. Just sayin.

 

I "get" to go to Vegas next Monday, to walk endlessly for two days thru huge ballrooms full of hucksters trying to get me to buy their overpriced wares.

The last month or so the email invitations from this event have really ramped up, I must get 20 offers a day to visit someones booth at the IBIE....

Since we're in such a niche business (raw frozen bakery products) most of what's available there isn't really compatible with our business, but my boss insists we look at everything, under the aegis of "you never know".......

Then in the evenings I'll get to spend dinner watching as he and his cronies get drunk, loud and obnoxious......

I might try to sneak off to Phoenix on Fri-Sunday before the event to see my kids, then take a quick jet up to Vegas on Monday to start the torture sessions.

 

If you were hanging out in my ball room, a maglite wouldn't help you.

 

Airports are like a roller coaster amusement ride:arf: You never know which direction you are going until the ride is over:crazy:

 

i just went to hawaii and for some reason my suitcase got searched going both ways and i personally got searched on the way back. with all my video equipment

 

Mark I know you know it but you will be returning to 20+ inches of snow, enjoy the left coast..

 

By thursday it should be all over with and almost back to normal

One of our guys was supposed to fly to Dallas this morning, I wonder if he made it? Or will get home again...ever!

 

Did they find any contraband MINI parts you were trying smuggle across the border?

That's the greatest advantage of flying on private aircraft, no lines and no searches.

You guys want to put guns in your baggage for an easy ride through security - an American has been illegally smuggling handguns to Britain (where they are effectively outlawed) for some time. On one occasion security did notice the stripped-down guns in his bags but accepted his statement that they were 'inert' and 'non-working' samples.

Glad they caught him, now send his butt to Birmingham prison (most overcrowded and dirtiest prison in England) for life. He should've stayed down in the Louisiana swamps gigging frogs.
