I think more important is do you like the change, or not?

I kind of like it, just happened from viewing one thread to another.

It makes sense, all member info is in one place, not spread across each post.

Nate, put one in the for column.

Looks less like a sewing site too. I support it. :cornut:
-
I don't like it. Make it a changeable display option.

Nate, put one down a maybe.

That was a firm, NO.
Anyway, it wouldn't be that bad if the "logged in" dot was right by the username.
Still one for the No column though. -
+1 on the no, though having it be optional would probably be best if possible.
I do like the holiday banners at the top.. -

Ah, this was how THMMC has been for a while, so I'm used to it. Of course, Twister has gone and started upgrading things over there, so who knows what it is gonna end up looking like.

It's going to look just fine jeff!

Anyway. I looked and there is a hack where the individual can select the postbit location, either the horizontal that was here before or the current on the left. However, it will not supported in the next version of the base software that went live Monday. I'm not about to move to the new version for a quite some time. While it did go "Gold" on Monday that is in name only. There are still many issues with it. -
Already did the merge! It's all good

Since I know you were using the Garage before, it will be a few weeks before we have it ported to 4.0, there are new stylevars that will effect what we do and they will not be available till 4.0.2 in late Jan. -
that's cool, we're getting approval now to purchase the whole thing

I'm a 50/50 on this. It's a cleaner look in one way and I imagine I'll get used to looking for things that aren't where I automatically expect to find them. I agree w/ Nabeshin, the on/offline dot definitely works better for me next to the username, but the rest I'll get used to. Makes for a lot of empty white space though on short posts by folks with plenty of member info (and avatar) but little/no sig. E.g., check posts like 2, 10 and even 11...and maybe this one. Also makes posts like #6 look sort of strange to me since the sig is no longer always at the bottom of the post box.
-
Furthermore, any post information now forms 1/3 of the screen width from the side, as opposed to starting at 1/6th of the way in. This is bothersome. Bring up that other site and M/A in two tabs and switch between them. You'll see how the information on the side takes up post space, will require more scrolling, and makes sigs no longer appear on the bottom.
It is great that Nathan wants to create a unique image for M/A, but this seems to sacrifice a little usability.
