Yeah..... Tell him he's not a good fit. Prius would fit him much better, and he'd still be able to turn in his man card.
See..... Win, Win
3rd Win, he won't be hanging around you.-

One would hope.... But I'm doubtful of even the MINI's abilities to transform this particular person

And if he comes on here and joins? I'll take my chances and keep the thread -

The reality of the situation is there are two types of MINI owners.
Some (unfortunately, becoming more and more the majority) buy a MINI since it's small, reasonably well appointed, and economical when it comes to gas. They're not particularly attracted to the uniqueness of a MINI, simply the 'numbers'. These folks are simply looking for transportation.
The other have of the population are the sort who invest in mods... join motoring clubs... and are otherwise enthusiasts for the brand. They appreciate the quirks of our little cars and get a thrill out of driving them. You know the type... you see one of them when you look in the mirror each day.-

I got it. Tell him that you posted on the site that he was interested in a MINI and we ran a background, reviewed his goals and rejected him. No dealer would be a be to sell him one now. he might buy it.

I'm guessing this non card carrying man, will not be a waver

Think of the unenthusiastic MINI owner as keepers of used spare parts for those of us who lean more toward lifelong ownership

Jason Montague New MemberLifetime Supporter:cornut:Tell him(?. Talking 'alternate life style' I guess)the truth. Although he may save a little on gas, we MINI owners spend incredible amounts of money on up grade and repair and if not warranty work, the only truly qualified tech/mechanic may be hundreds of miles away.If it's his daily driver then he'll be replacing very expensive tires yearly.......................That should about do it.

I dunno...based on all the "tools" who never wave back, even though they own MINIs, I'd say he will fit right in...to THAT category. And, while we are at it, look at all the MINI clubs out there [I look at mine...Ohio Mini/MINI Owners], who sure don't get, as members or even once-in-awhile participants, all the folks out there who are owners. Hell, they never even mod OR wash their cars....
