Picked up my new 2011 JCW Hardtop yesterday from the Woodlands dealer in north Houston (Quickplug-they were a pleasure to deal with-hope their service dept is as well). I won't go on and on about the drive home since all you owners already live the experience. It is quieter, smoother, more well appointed, and faster than I anticipated. Any of you potential buyers out there who might be straddling the fence-DO IT !! You won't be sorry-also bought a couple of bowling shirts to make it official. Also, Thanks to Nathan and all you posters-there is a lot to be learned from wandering around in here.
Congrats on your new JCW. Not sure if you want the trek but every year after Christmas a bunch of us from the Dallas area have a little run to Waco for lunch. Your FUN has only just begun. Nathan's right about the Waco Run.Try and make it if you can as it's well worth it. It's actually two runs. The Scenic Runners take off first for pictures and sight seeing. An hour later the(SSHHH Top Secret):eek6: SPIRITED runners take off on remote back roads to experience the full potential of top end performance. Thanks for the invitation but will be visiting my Mom in Marble Falls and I WILL be taking the scenic route - the Devil's Backbone in Wimberly!! These little cars are born for those kind of roads.
