Can't wait to see it in person. There is just something about seeing new Mini variations in all the different colors. The red Countryman at MAG looks really sharp with its black wheels and white roof.

Hey Carol cool beans.
Glad your brother didn't end up in a KIA.

Hey!
Hi Columbus folks!
Carol invited me in for the cars. I may stick around for the donuts...and bacon...mmm bacon.
As stated, I ordered a Country S this week. Silver/black, chrome-line ext (but will get black mirror covers), black wheels, sport stripes, xenons...no packages, no sunroof even. Kept it pretty simple. I did have to get automatron, just in case my lovely bride (She Who Refuses to Drive A Stick, SWRDAS) needs to "borrow" it in case of inclement weather. (Her ride is a high HP rear wheel driver that is great fun 354 days a year.)
I don't have a born date yet, nor a delivery date. So far, only this pic generated by the Online Mini Maker and this paper over here that says I dropped a deposit.
My lovely Motoring Advisor here in Cincy says 6-8 weeks. I'll keep ya posted.
Oh, and is it wrong that I already ordered a OH BMV plate "SLVR R60" ?

Oh so you are a SLVR R60 back eh? :smile5:
Congrats on the pending new car Don. Hope the wait isn't too long. -
Hi! hate to tell you, but you are now a Silverback. The boys will have to explain. : )

Family feud.....

Oh boy. All the silverbacks are stirring to watch the family dynamics. Ok, I am much younger and got better spelling grades than you! So there!
-
A little heavy on the "much younger" there, doncha' think?
Latest update: My car was ordered this AM and I'm now enrolled in the "Making Waiting Fun" program.
Thanks for the good wishes everyone. I'll keep you posted. Save me a stool at the bacon bar! -

Enjoy the wait and the tracking process, I remember checking in everyday (OK every hour some days) and watching as my car went from assembly line to loading dock to ship to loading dock to truck to dealer. Much cooler than having a dealer search other dealer's inventories to find you a car.
You know you could teach your wife to drive a proper car? It is you know a safety issue, what if armagedon happens and the only escape vehicle is a stick shift? You do not want zombies/aliens/extremeists/communists/bears/aligators/dinosors/hippies/Sarah Palin/Osama Obama/killer bees/tsunamis/global warming/Fox News/NPR to take your wife do you? -
Silverbacks are old hairy gorillas...much like me. Weed hoppers are the flat bellied young people like was taught on the show Kung Fu. Now Jim, you are an official MOM member...and from what I've heard...a Silverback
As matter of course, Carol refers to herself as a Silver Fox...I refuse to offer a description defensively saving my life :eek6:
