If I do, I'll be heading down from the Philly area on the 30th.

I'm still up in the air, though. No vacation days at work, and the end of the month is extremely important for me.

Last month's sales may have left me with some wiggle room to give myself a small mini-vacation this month.

 

Also, I work until 9PM on Fridays.

 

Been there, done that several years ago to Asheville... it's not a bad drive through the night.

I need to reach out to my family friends in the area and see about spending a few nights there (they're 12 miles from Fontana Village). Trying to keep the spending down if I decide to roll down.

 

I'll be going down I-75. from Piqua, OH, on Tuesday, April 28. For as slow as I drive, you'll STILL probably pass me! :ihih:

Hey I'm in Indy also. What part of town do you live in?

I always head down to MOTD early Thursday morning....usually about 5-6 a.m. so that there's plenty of daylight left when I get there. Not sure I'm heading directly there this year, though. My friend who usually meets me there no longer has a MINI, so I may swing through Nashville, TN on the way to pick him up.

 

I am leaving Cincinnati, Oh on Wednesday or Thursday. I am picking my 'new to me' 2005 R52 S on April 25, 2015, so not much time for maintenance. While the car is very low mileage (3,648 actual miles), all the "rubber" parts (belts, tires,etc.) are 10 years old and that scares me. If possible, I would like to hook up with someone for the drive down. Times and locations are very flexible for me. Thanks...

 

If you can possibly leave on Tuesday, April 28, you can follow my roomie and me. We are leaving Piqua around 9 AM and would meet you at the first Rest Area in KY around 11:30 or so, before heading on. Please let me know if you may be interested in joining us.

 

I'm leaving Chicago on Monday 4/27 and hit 75 at Lex. Stay overnight in Alcoa so I don't have to drive the dragon to Fontana after 11 hours on the road.

 

My plans are set...with a twist. I will be leaving Cincy early on Wednesday (time open):however, my wife is not going with me. I have an empty seat if anyone wants a ride. I also have a room with 2 dbl beds if anyone needs a place to stay.

 

There will be a group of us coming out of Columbus early Wednesday. We should be coming through Cincy around 6:30 and will stop at the rest area on I-75 in KY near Big Bone Lick (yes that is the name, I didn't make it up) around 7:15 AM.

Zillion, come after work on Friday. I did that one year. Left Ohio at 4pm and rolled into Fontana around 1 maybe.

Of course, I found a couple of mid ohio guys stumbling round the parking lot after the brewswap. Go figure.

If you drive through the night (coffee needed, since coke is still illegal) you will roll into Fontana around morning.
