    Its easier to tell in the higher gear. Get it on the highway, put it in 6th, get to 70 mph, the older, 02-04, the RPM's should be around 6800, just alittle under 7000. If at 7000, or alittle above, you have the 05, and above tranny. I have a 03 MCS and swapped to a 05 trans, so have seen this in action.

    cool ill pay attention next time i get on the highway. but dont you mean 2800 and 3000?

    6800 and 7000 in 6th would be very fast probably hitting the speed limiter
